Meet the Staff

Daniel Kaplan, DDS PC

Daniel Kaplan graduated from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 1985. Since then, he has been practicing in the fields of periodontics and dental implants and has been at the forefront of some of the most cutting edge work in the field.


With more than 10,000 satisfied patients, he has built one of the most successful practices in metropolitan New York. To keep up with the latest innovations, Dr. Kaplan attends and teaches at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, New York.

Michele Kaplan, DDS MS 

Dr. Kaplan was born and raised in New York. She earned her Bachelor of Arts at Boston University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where she graduated top of her class with numerous honors and distinctions. She is a third-generation dentist, following the footsteps of her grandfather and father.

She received a Master of Science by completing an extensive three-year residency program at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, Division of Orthodontics. In residency, she had broad exposure to all case types including treating medically complex and special needs patients, as well as patients of all ages.

Dr. Kaplan is board certified. She is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontics, and the American Dental Association. Her research in orthodontic tooth movement was recognized by the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) in 2021, and she received the Thomas M. Graber Award. Recently, Dr. Kaplan’s research was published in the Progress in Orthodontics Journal.

 

Dr. Kaplan is married. She loves traveling, running, painting, and spending time with family and friends. She looks forward to meeting you and helping you achieve a beautiful smile and overall a more balanced bite!
